I have my parents moving in with me, and am considering building an in-law suite to make them
more comfortable. What would you suggest including and how will this affect the value of my home?

I recently sold a home in Fayetteville, NY, where the homeowners added an addition to their split level home. The addition included open kitchen/living area featuring a cathedral ceiling and walk out to a private patio. The bedroom and bathroom plus laundry area was incorporated from the original home. Grandma was able to live with her son and family and enjoy her own space.
Dollars were saved by not having to pay for a more expensive care facility such as nearby Maple Downs. The home was sold fairly quickly with this added feature!
